This smoothie is a healthy energy and nutrient packed alternative to store bought breakfast drinks. It’s filled with protein, fibre, slow release energy and lots of minerals. You can make a big batch a couple of times a week, pour it into bottles and keep it in the fridge ready to go for whenever you need a quick breakfast.
2 tablespoons plain unsweetened yoghurt
1 tablespoon oats
6 raw almonds
1 tablespoon cacao
1 cup milk or milk alternative
½ teaspoon dutch cocoa (if you want a strong chocolate flavour)
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
2. Pour into a glass to have immediately or into a jar or bottle to have on the go. If not consuming immediately store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
